Douluxe Birth Services started in my mind back in 2019. My mother introduced me to a show that featured birth workers and something inside me clicked, knowing this was something I wanted to do.

Fast forward to last year when my son was born. I won't go into the full story, but my birth with him was incredibly traumatic and both my son and I almost lost our lives. While my Mom is not a doula, she was still someone who stepped up for me and helped advocate on my behalf that day when I was in dire need of it, and without that advocacy, I can honestly say I don't know that I would be alive.

Since then, I have dug into everything concerning birth work that I could find - movies, books, blogs, talking with people - I consume it all! I am more convinced than ever that birth work isn't just a job - it is a necessity and even a human right. The status of birth in the United States is honestly horrific and I am determined to make a difference. 

Specifically, I want to make a difference for you. Whether you are having an unmedicated natural labor, medicated labor with an epidural, a planned caesarean, or you don't know what you want to do yet, I want to stand beside you and help guide you in these decisions. I provide evidence based education concerning childbirth, which is one of the most important tools we can use as doulas!
